    The accountant part is so true, and so few people know! I’ve been working as an independent CPA (primarily working with freelancers) for four years at this point, and working remotely is my favorite part of the job. For anyone thinking about making this jump, though, I’d really recommend using a software tool to keep everything organized. I’ve found that AMS (https://www.1099-etc.com/software/w2-and-1099-forms-filer/) has a really good price point for independent accountants.
